Jessica Green, DVM, PhD

As project coordinator for the Center of Excellence For Emerging and Zoonotic Animal Diseases, Dr. Jessica Green coordinates and implements the Center’s education and outreach efforts. Those responsibilities include CEEZAD’s graduate-level Career Development Program, and also its BSL3 Training/Transboundary Animal Disease Summer program.

Dr. Green is a graduate of Texas A&M, where she received her B.S. in biomedical science and her DVM. She worked in small animal practice in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for five years before completing residency training in clinical pathology and a doctoral degree in pathology, both at Kansas State University.

Following completion of that work, she served as an instructor in the Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology at K-State, where she helped teach clinical pathology to veterinary medicine students. She also provided diagnostic service to the university’s clinical pathology laboratory.

Dr. Green joined the CEEZAD staff in 2013.
